Morning walk through birch forest to the foot of the Chalaadi glacier. Afternoon in Mestia: the Svaneti Museum and a family tower you can climb.
Leave at 07:00 by 4x4 for Ushguli, two hours on a rough road, under Shkhara, Georgia's highest peak. Walk up to Lamaria church, then drive back to Tbilisi, arriving around 22:30.
